Work Experience

Work Experience

Work Experience provides students with a wide range of opportunities, as well as confidence and an insight into the world of work. Although students will likely want to work in an area that interests them, it is not important that the placement exactly mirrors their career aspirations. It is more valuable to consider the type of working environment: if they wish to be dealing with the public, working as a team, etc.

The Work Experience programme for Year 10 students takes place during the last two weeks of the Summer Term and is run by NYBEP. Students are responsible for finding their own work placement using either the NYBEP database or their own or family contacts.
