Earlier this month, we welcomed several providers into school for a wonderful Preparation for Employment event for our Year 9 students.
A variety of workshops were on offer, ranging from a session led by the Army looking at developing problem-solving skills, through to a representative from construction company, Morgan Sindall, highlighting workplace skills and York St John University colleagues focusing on interview techniques.
Representatives from the NHS talked about the different job opportunities available and the skills and qualifications required for them, as well as NYBEP delivering workshops on apprenticeships and a ‘What’s stopping you – skills awareness’ session.
Thank you to all our providers who gave up their time to support our Year 9 careers pathway and to our Year 9 students for engaging so well with the day.
