At the end of last year, Year 11 student, Adam Quinn was selected to take part in the North Yorkshire U16s developing player pathway (DPP) for England Rugby Union and has been put forward for the U17s Academy for Yorkshire. Playing as a full back and sometimes a winger, he will go through the assessment stages in September.
Adam has also been successful in the athletics arena having qualified for the North of England indoor championships in February this year. In his first ever competition of this type, Adam did a fantastic job competing as one of the youngest in the U17 age group in the long jump and 60 metre sprints.
Adam recently won a sports scholarship to attend Sedbergh School in the Yorkshire Dales. These scholarships are hugely competitive and are not easy to win. He has, however, chosen to attend Bishop Burton College where he will be supported and encouraged to pursue his passion of Rugby Union.
We wish him all the very best of luck for his assessments in September for the Yorkshire U17 England RFU Academy! We’re rooting for you Adam!
