What I thought I wanted to do: Air hostess
What I ended up doing: Since leaving school I have worked in many different jobs roles developing different skills and expanding my knowledge. I spent eight years working in childcare starting out as an apprentice and moving up to the position of deputy manager. I have since moved onto a new career path in mental health services, expanding my knowledge even further and developing my learning even more.
How I got here: After gaining four qualifications in childcare I have been able to put all my experiences into my everyday life, expanding my career opportunities to further my professional development. I have now landed myself a new role on a new career pathway and I’m excited for the future career ahead of me and the challenges I face.
Most useful skill or character trait for my job: Compassion and customer service support.
