School trips

Trips and visits are an integral part of education at Millthorpe School.

We’re really excited to be planning a number of trips, including:

GCSE Geography trip to Iceland
This is for GCSE Geography students and dates are to be confirmed. The approximate cost of the trip is £1000.

Year 9 outdoor activity residential to Carlton Lodge
This is for Year 9 students and takes place annually. The approximate cost of the 2026 trip is £215.

GCSE Humanities trip to Poland/Auschwitz
This is for GCSE History and RE students. The approximate cost of the 2026 trip is £900.

Trips and visits are used to enhance the learning experience of pupils whilst also teaching them wider life skills and helping them to develop as individuals. In additional to the residential trips above, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, from trips linked to the curriculum across all subject areas to adventurous activities!
