Massive congratulations to Zoe in Year 9, who has been selected to join a team of six U15 girls representing North Yorkshire at athletics. Zoe, who competes with City of York Athletics Club, joined a team of people from clubs across York, Harrogate and Northallerton.
At the beginning of March, the team headed up to Teesside to compete in the regional final of a sports hall athletics event. Zoe and team competed against competitors from Tyne and Wear and County Durham and ended the day victorious!
They will now go on to represent the North East at the national finals in Stoke on Trent on 1 April, where Zoe will compete in a two-lap sprint, a two-lap sprint relay, vertical jump and shot putt.
