The School Day

• 08:30: School gates open to students
• 08:40: Students need to be through the gates by this time to allow them to arrive at Form on time
• 08:45-09:10: Registration and Form Time/Assemblies
• 09.10-09.15: Movement time
• 09:15-10:10: Lesson 1
• 10.10-10.15: Movement time
• 10:15-11:15: Lesson 2
• 11:15-11:30: Break (movement bell to sound at 11.25)
• 11:30-12:30: Lesson 3
• 12.30-12.35: Movement time
• 12:35-13:30: Lesson 4
• 13:30-14:15: Lunch (movement bell to sound at 14.10)
• 14:15-15:15: Lesson 5
• 15:15: The school day ends

This means students are in school for 32.5 hours in a typical week.

From Monday 28 April 2025, the school day timings will change slightly to cater for the Year 11 exams which require longer afternoon sessions.
 
The new school day timings are as follows:

• 8.30am: School gates open
• 8.40am: Students need to be through the gates/ over the blue line
• 8.45-9.10am: Form time/ Assemblies
• 9.10- 9.15 am: Movement time
• 9.15-10.10am: Period 1
• 10.10-10.15am: Movement time
• 10.15-11.15am: Period 2
• 11.15-11.30am: Break
• 11.30-11.35am: Movement time
• 11.35 am -12.35pm: Period 3
• 12.35-1.15pm: Lunch
• 1.15- 2.10pm: Period 4
• 2.10-2.15pm: Movement time
• 2.15-3.15pm: Period 5

Once exams are completed, we will let students and families know when the school day timings will return to normal.
