An enriched learning experience

Trips and visits are an integral part of education at Millthorpe School.

We’re really excited to be planning a number of trips, including:

Ski trip to Austria
This is an annual trip (from 2023) for students in Years 8-10. The approximate cost of the 2023 trip is Β£950.

Cultural visit to Austria/Germany
This trip for students in Year 9 will be annual or biennial from 2023. The approximate cost of the 2023 trip is to be confirmed.

GCSE Geography trip to Iceland
This is for Year 10 GCSE Geography students and will be biennial from 2023. The approximate cost of the 2023 trip is Β£1000.

GCSE History trip to Belgium and the WW1 Battlefields
This is for Year 10 GCSE History students and will be annual or biennial from 2023. The approximate cost of the 2023 trip is Β£500.

Year 9 outdoor activity residential to Carlton Lodge
This is for Year 9 students and takes place annually. The approximate cost of the 2023 trip is Β£250.

RE trip to Poland/Auschwitz in 2024
This is for Year 10 students and will be annual or biennial from 2024. The approximate cost of the 2024 trip is Β£700.

Trips and visits are used to enhance the learning experience of pupils whilst also teaching them wider life skills and helping them to develop as individuals. In additional to the residential trips above, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, from trips linked to the curriculum across all subject areas to adventurous activities!
