Year 7 and 8 trip to Flamingo Land

A polite reminder that the deadline for payments and consent for your child to attend the Flamingo Land trip is today. We are unable to offer an extension (unless this has already been agreed) because we need to make the payment on Monday in order to secure the park ticket prices at the reduced rate. Please ensure that you have paid and provided consent on ParentPay today if you wish for your child in Year 7 or 8 to attend this trip.

Details of the trip have already been emailed to you and the price will be shown on your child’s ParentPay account. There is a subsidised rate available for students in receipt of the Pupil Premium.

Musical production – December 2022

Message from Mrs Sladen:

Thank you to all the students who auditioned and entertained me so wonderfully on Wednesday afternoon – you were a joy to listen to!

For anyone who was unable to make Wednesday’s audition, I will be holding a final ‘catch-up’ round of singing/acting auditions on Tuesday 28 June in the Drama Hall after school. Please prepare a song from a musical (any you like, as long as there is a backing track available on YouTube) with which to showcase your talents.

As mentioned in last week’s email, there will be meetings for students who wish to audition to be dancers and part of the backstage team in September.

Thanks for all the encouraging support I have had from both students and parents so far!

River safety

Please can you take the time to remind your child about the dangers of swimming in York’s rivers? We have reminded them in school too, but felt that as it is such an important matter, we would like you to reiterate this message at home.
