Mrs K Sladen

My main roles within school are Head of Faculty for Performance and Enrichment (Drama, Music, PE) and Drama Subject Lead. I also oversee trainee teachers working within the school and, as Associate Assistant Principal, I am working this year within Deep Learning. I have a specific focus on exam preparation for students in Year 10 and 11 and I’m overseeing the introduction of Exam Rubrics into each subject area.

I have worked at Millthorpe for twenty-four years – so long I almost feel part of the furniture! I have so many happy memories here, but it is the people, the students and staff I work with every day that have made me want to stay here for such a long time.

Millthorpe has its own unique sense of community and warmth to it that makes it a very difficult place to want to leave.

Outside of school I love reading, going to the cinema and the theatre and spending time with my husband and son, who is about to begin secondary school himself.
