Mrs K Sladen

As Assistant Principal: Deep Experience, I directly Line Manage Personal Development and Student Leadership as part of the team who ensure that students have the best possible experience at Millthorpe. I am also Drama Subject Lead and oversee all trainee teachers (ITTs) working within the school.

I have worked at Millthorpe for twenty-six years – so long I almost feel part of the furniture! Over this time I have worked in a variety of leadership roles across the school, including within the English department, as a pastoral Head of Year and as a Faculty Leader. I have a huge range of very happy memories here, but it is the people, the students and staff I work with every day, that have made me want to stay here for such a long time; Millthorpe has its own unique sense of community and warmth to it that makes it a very difficult place to want to leave.

Outside of school I love reading, going to the cinema and the theatre, spending time with friends and days out with my husband and son, who is himself at secondary school.
