Progress Leader (Year 9)

I’ve worked in education for nearly 15 years and joined Millthorpe School in 2022 – on the same day as my current Year 9s! I began as a Deputy Head of Year, then became Head of Year, and now proudly serve as a Progress Leader. Before coming to Millthorpe, I worked at a school in Leeds, as a Behaviour and Wellbeing Mentor and later as an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Support Lead co-running an alternative provision.

Although my background is in medicine, I discovered my true passion lies in working with young people. Supporting students through their emotional, social, and academic development is incredibly rewarding, and I feel privileged to play a part in their journey – from wide-eyed Year 7s fresh from primary school to the confident young people they grow into.

Without a doubt, the best thing about working at Millthorpe are the incredible children I get to work with every day! They are funny, honest, resilient, and full of potential – they inspire me every day. Their curiosity, energy and enthusiasm make every day meaningful and rewarding. Watching them grow and develop their unique personalities is truly the highlight of my role and the main reason I’m so passionate about being part of this school community.

I’m originally from Macedonia and am very proud of my heritage. I’m very fortunate to have a close-knit, loving family and am a proud mum to two wonderful children. I’m a creative person who enjoys gardening, music, and dancing. I have a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of flowers and the timeless elegance of dresses – each a reflection of grace, creativity and individuality.  In my youth, I was part of a traditional folklore ensemble that represented Macedonia across Europe – an experience I cherish to this day.
