I am currently the Year 11 Progress Leader and will be stepping into the role of Year 7 Progress Leader in September 2025. I’ve been proud to be part of the Millthorpe community for the past five years, working in a range of roles before joining the Pastoral Team as Deputy Head of Year in April 2022. I moved into my current Progress Leader position at the start of 2025.

It has been a privilege to guide my current year group from the beginning of their secondary school journey to the young adults they are today – ready to move on to Post-16 education with integrity, resilience, and charisma.

With a background in both SEND and pastoral care, my mission is to support a diverse range of learners and personalities, ensuring consistency and helping all students feel connected to the Millthorpe way. Building and maintaining positive relationships – with students, colleagues, and families – is at the heart of everything I do.

Before joining Millthorpe, I trained as a professional dancer, completing three years at a conservatoire followed by a degree focused on widening access to the arts. My passion lay in breaking down social barriers and enabling young people to explore their emotional intelligence through creative expression. I delivered workshops in young offenders’ institutions and schools across the city, experiences that deeply inform my current pastoral work.

Outside of school, I spend most of my time trying (and failing) to train a very cheeky two-year-old Cavapoo named Archie – who humbles me daily by ignoring the behaviour strategies I swear by at school! This year, I’m looking forward to keeping fit, going to gigs and festivals, and pitching my tent in the Yorkshire Dales whenever I get the chance.
